American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC)
ACEC is a nationwide trade organization dedicated to helping its members achieve higher professional, ethical, business, and economic standards, and at the same time helping them provide quality consulting engineering services for their clients and the public. To achieve its mission, ACEC provides business, management, and leadership training opportunities both on a national and local level. It also serves as a voice for its members regarding issues of local and national concern that affect consulting engineers.
Because of its importance in helping LRE increase our consulting skills, we are active in ACEC on both a local and national level. Gregg Ten Eyck is a Trustee of the ACEC Life/Health Insurance Trust and Janet Williams is on the Board of Directors of ACEC Colorado. Greg Roush and Erin Wilson have completed the ACEC 18-month-long Senior Executive Institute (SEI) program. In addition, many of the LRE Project Managers (PM) and soon-to-be PMs have completed various local training programs.

American Institute of Professional Geologists (AIPG)
AIPG certifies geologists worldwide based upon their competence, integrity, and ethics. Certification requires a bachelor's degree or higher with a minimum of 36 semester hours of geology, 5 years of professional geological work experience, 5 sponsors who attest to the applicant's professional qualifications and ethics, and an affirmation that the applicant will abide by AIPG's Code of Ethics. LRE strongly encourages all of its qualified staff to become Certified Professional Geologists (C.P.G.). Jon Ford, Dennis McGrane, and Heather Justus are C.P.G.'s.
